About orkinos

orkinos aims to be a scripting utilities framework that will be used to compress, document and manage script files. Although the current version is very far from this goal, the author plans to enhance it further to make it more useful to the community.

The author currently uses orkinos in production to compress and document s@rdalya - s@rm@l dynamic framework. If you haven't heard about it, you may want to have a look at:

orkinos is written in c#; hence it requires .Net Framework version 1.1 or higher, which can be downloaded from microsoft.com for free.

You may want to view the what orkinos looks like. You may download either the executable or the full source code.

The GUI is dead easy to use. However compressing files in batches and validating files so that they will be error-free after compression requires some RTFM. The related page in s@rdalya's wiki describes this process step by step with a simple tutorial.
