sardalya, is a cross-browser compatible system which is designed to work in all DOM-supporting browsers.
sardalya has been tested with internet explorer 6, netscape navigator 6-7-8beta, Mozilla 1.5-FireFox 1.0.3, Opera 7.0-7.2-8Beta and more.
At the beginning, sardalya started his life as a small API, mostly driven by the dynamic html programming and scripting needs in my projects. Nevertheless, today, it can stand on its own feet and may be useful to others. So here it goes.
It seems to work without much trouble. I do not have a Mac, so I have not tested it in Safari. Plus you may hear crunching sounds on IE5 Mac (given that Microsoft itself stopped supporting it, I did not consider implementing full IE support for Mac).
If you coincide any trouble when using sardalya or you have any comments/suggestiongs we have a wiki page to listen to your needs.

You may say that there are lots of counterparts such as
dynAPI, XScript around.
So why sardalya ?
Well, it's a matter of choice:
- sardalya is modular and object-oriented.
- sardalya is easy to extend.
- sardalya's code is neatly-written; easy to maintain & debug.
- sardalya's file size is small, yet it's source code is simple and understandable.
- sardalya is being authored keeping web standards, usability and accessibility in mind.
- sardalya just aims to make life easier on the development side.
- sardalya is supplemented with API documentation and a bunch of usage examples.
- sardalya is continiously evolving, knowing that the only thing that does not change is the change itself.
Those properties are not easy to find together.
They are not easy to create/produce as well.
It was (and still is) fun for me implementing and improving sardalya.
Hope you'll like it as well.

Anyone who uses sardalya should read and agree the terms & conditions.
The page you are currently reading utilizes sardalya as well.
You can find other implementations of sardalya and the API documentation in the samples page.
In case you are interested, you may want to view the weblog of sardalya.
Just a final note; I don't request any money for the non-commercial usage of s@rdalya. The mere thing I want is the mutual sharing of knowledge. However, this results in significant costs (in terms of bandwidth, hosting, etc.). So any donation is highly appreciated (You may click " donate " icon at the bottom of the page for secure payment).
Hope you'll find sardalya useful. Looking forward to your comments and suggestions.
